About RWTAG

The Rome Waterways and Trails Advocacy Group (RWTAG) is a volunteer organization in Rome, NY dedicated to maintaining, improving, developing, and promoting the waterways and trail systems throughout the City of Rome and the surrounding region. We work in partnership with the City of Rome, local organizations, and community stakeholders to enhance these valuable outdoor resources. Our mission is to promote active transportation, healthy lifestyles, and sustainable tourism by creating and maintaining safe, accessible, and enjoyable trails and waterways for residents and visitors alike.
